    Description

Well-worn real photo postcard measuring approx. 3 7/16 in. by 5 3/8 in.
All of the info about this image is on the signage on the front of the (log cabin) building, including “A. S. Wiggins, prop’r and cook.” Truly a Roadside Americana pioneer! Or
    Trailside
    Americana, pioneer perhaps….
Also, at UL, “Special inducements to Yellowstone Park tourists, ladies may hug the cook.” Presumably Wiggins is the person in the image, dressed in women’s clothes.
Lots of other nutty stuff on the signs as well:
“Coyote Soup” / “Rooms nice and quiet, our bed bugs never snore” / “Don’t censure the eggs, maybe the hens weren’t healthy”
    Condition
    -
    heavy wear
    including
    six sharp creases
    – two of them short ones across the LH corners and three long parallel diagonal ones, two near the UL corner and one running from the top edge near the UR corner most of the way toward the bottom edge L of center and another offshoot of that one that reaches the bottom edge L of center; quite a bit of soil though most of it is on the back.
    Thanks for bidding!
